Intake project a huge waste of money

Dear editor,

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Bureau of Reclamation plan on spending 57 million on a dam & fish bypass on Yellowstone River at Intake. All of this to save pallid sturgeon, what a joke & waste of money. Lots of local people & outsiders camp in that area ––– they could use that money to make many improvements. Fish N Game claim, & can’t, won’t put in electricity, etc cuz of the river flooding in the spring, well what the heck do they think the rivers gona do to there daming area; shake its hand & say, I won’t ruin you, I’ll go around, yeah right.

I can think of many ways to use 57 million dollars ––– our local Makoshika park wants water run to its established campground, which would entice even more people to camp there. Another there tiss the season; our food bank can use donations along w/ many other organizations.

Come on big shot people, think again on how you want to waste our most likely tax payer dollars on a dam to let fish go upstream your way & not the way they’ve done for numerous umteen years.
