A 29 coal car derailment occurred on BNSF Railway tracks about 2 miles east of Terry Monday night. The accident scene included twisted railcars, piles of spilled coal and a line of flashing lights coming from BNSF Railway vehicles. Crews worked to clean up the debris Tuesday morning. The accident took place on track paralelel to Old Highway 10, which has been closed to through traffic since 2011 when rainfall caused significant damage to a portion of the frontage road.
