Barbara "Barb" Sue Green

Barbara “Barb” Sue Green, age 61 of Circle, Montana passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the First Lutheran Church in Circle.  A funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Wade Brinkopf officiating.  Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Circle.  Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Barb was born on March 7, 1956 in Bay City, Michigan, a daughter of Raymond and Alice (Frank) Miller.  Barb was raised and educated in Fairgrove, Michigan and graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School with the class of 1974.  During her younger years, Barb was active in 4-H and received numerous awards; and later in high school she was active in cheerleading. After high school Barb went on to attend beauty school.  On September 28, 1974 Barb married William Howard Green in Sebewing, Michigan, and to this union two children were born.  After their marriage Barb taught dance classes at Craves School of Dance. She was the editor of the local paper Farm & Town Enterprise also, and she wrote articles and photographed for the Saginaw newspaper.

In 1980, the family moved to Glendive where she worked various waitressing jobs before starting her career in the insurance industry, and had worked for the same company for thirty-one years.  Throughout those years the company had gone through several name changes before becoming HUB International, which Barb had still worked for until the time of her passing. In 1988, they moved once more to Circle where Barb and Bill worked side-by-side.

Barb was very active in her community, and she loved volunteering for many events throughout town and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce.  Having been a breast cancer survivor, she was very passionate in the Relay for Life as well.

Barb  was extraordinarily proud of her family and loved going to all the grandkids’ sporting activities and music concerts.  She had a kind soul, and always saw the good in people.

Although she is dancing with the stars now, she will always watch over us.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and her grandson, Brock Loudon.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Bridget and Colby Loudon of Circle; her son, Willy and Candace Green of Circle; her grandchildren, Bryce and Cierra Loudon, and Kayla, Corbin, and Cooper Green; her sisters, Ann and Ron Klatt of Fairgrove, Michigan and Sandy and Mike Schofield of Bay City, Michigan; her brother, Carl and Barbara Miller of Holland, Michigan; all of her in-laws of the Green Family; and several nieces and nephews.

Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at: www.silhafuneralhomes.com.
