Robert Andrew Casey

Robert Andrew Casey of Butte passed away April 15, 2014 at the Rosalie Manor, Butte, Montana.   Robert was born February 5, 1951 in Beach, N.D. to Helen and Delbert Casey.   He graduated from Dawson County High School and Northern Montana College, Havre.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors, camping, panning gold, listening to music, making people laugh and he loved to tell stories.  He had a heart of gold and was willing to share whatever he had.   Bob was an employee of Burlington Northern Railroad and Halliburton in Glendive.  He graduated from MSU-Northern, Havre with an Associate’s Degree in Water Quality/Environment Health.  He then worked for the cities of Chinook, Glendive and Bozeman.

He is survived by his mother Helen Casey, brothers Duane (Lorna) Casey , Fort Worth, Texas, Ron (Sandy) Casey, Helena, John (Cheryl) Casey, Glendive, sisters Debra (Marshall) Odell, Missoula, Jeri (Jeff) Alarcon, Sandpoint, Idaho, Joan (Alan) Brown, Miles City, Marie McPherson, Havre,  Sharon Casey, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Sandy (Paul) Steele, Lone Grove, Okla., Cheryl (Jeff) Allen, Glendive, Darlene (John) Bacon, Harlowton and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Bob was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Susan Casey, maternal grandparents, Tony and Catherine Barthel, his father Delbert Casey, brother in law Randal McPherson and niece Natasha.  His character, comical stories, sense of humor and gentle mannerism’s will be missed by all who knew and loved him.    

Bob wished to thank Dr’s. Russell, McIntire, Raiser and the team of others who cared for him during this past year.   He aIso wished to thank the staff at St. James Hospital, Crest Nursing Home and Rocky Mountain Hospice for watching over him in his time of need.  His family would also like to thank Chuck Mills, Terri O’Herron, and Clarisa Hogart at the Rosalie Manor for their loving-kindness.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial was held 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glendive.
