Arnie Alan Hove

Arnie Alan Hove was born May 25, 1956 in Wolf Point, Mont., to Archie A. Hove and Kathleen (Fry) Hove. On August 22, 2020, he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was residing in Kalispell with his daughter Emily.

Arnie grew up on a farm in Dawson County between Vida and Richey. He moved to Circle to attend school but returned to the country farm every summer while growing up. Arnie was active in school; he played piano and trumpet, was in sports, the class plays and he was Student Council President in his Senior year. He graduated from Circle High School in May, 1974. In 1978, he graduated from the College of Great Falls. While he was a Senior at the University of Montana Law School, he married Andrea Noice, from Kalispell, in June 1980. After graduation, he returned to Circle to work with Bob Hoover, who was the County Attorney. Upon Mr. Hoover’s retirement from office, Arnie was appointed County Attorney, and had a successful law practice, until the late 1990’s.

Arnie’s and Andrea’s daughter, Alesha, was born in 1982 and their son, Aaron, was born in 1985. They later divorced and in 2003, Arnie met Lisa, who is a Dr. from Japan, while she was working at the Mayo Clinic. Their daughter Emily was born in 2004, and the family spent their time between Japan and Montana.

Arnie is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Japan; daughters, Alesha (Guil) Claveria, of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Emily Hove of Kalispell.; son, Aaron Hove, of Missoula, and stepson Ken; granddaughter, Avery Claveria; his mother, Kathleen Hove, of Circle; the eldest and his only sister, Daleen (Tom) Heitz, of Billings, Mont..; brothers, Sydney (Mary) Hove, of Minot, N.D., Mark (Gina) Hove, of Circle, and Philip Hove of York, Pa.

He is preceded in death by his father, Archie, nephew, Christopher Hove, maternal and paternal grandparents, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Arnie’s request was to be cremated. Family is planning a memorial on October 22nd, to be held at Prairie View Cemetery.
