Barbara Ann Gehnert, age 80, of Glendive passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Glendive Medical Center.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Greg Lucido officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Barbara Ann Gehnert was born May 4, 1940 to Lester and Ella (Malkuch) Engle in Glendive. She was raised and educated in Glendive. Barb married Art Gehnert on March 22, 1957 in San Diego, Calif. To this union three children, Cindy, Jim and Dean were born. Barb was a stay-at-home mom and lovingly raised her three children in the family home in Glendive. Barb enjoyed reading and sewing. She was a wonderful cook and hosted many holidays at her home, feeding the whole family. Barb took great pride in her yard, always mowing and watering, making it the best yard in the neighborhood for many years. Barb enjoyed traveling with her sisters, together they made many unforgettable memories.

Barb is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Dan) Koffler of Salem, Ore.; sons, Jim (Mary Jo) Gehnert of Glendive and Dean (Lucy) Gehnert of Beaverton, Ore; her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Dyron (Lorena) Koffler and their children, Mia, Dyra and Leana of Lupton, Colo., Mandy (Dachai) Chantanasombut and their child, Danielle of Glendive, Ryan (Olivia) Koffler, and their children Bryttin, Ella and Lillian of Glendive, Jacob (Erica) Gehnert of Los Angeles, Calif., and Jacee Gehnert of Glendive; her siblings, Dale Engle of Sheridan, Wyo., Warren (Ann) Engle of Glendive, Elton (Dee) Engle of Sheridan, Wyo., Dennis (Rosie) Engle of Glendive, Kay Lindstrom of Mesa, Ariz., Grace Koffler-Evinrude of Glendive, and Michael (Susan) Slehofer of Glendive; numerous nieces and nephews; and Art Gehnert.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and grandparents.
