The Dawson Community College Toepke Center gymnasium was jam packed on Saturday, Oct. 9, but this time it was the fans on the floor. The Buccaneer Bash was attended by over 300 people. The event is the major fundraiser for the Dawson College Foundation, with proceeds supporting student scholarships and other needs at the college. Top: Jerry Glaser and Bob Hellman were among many participants in a game of ‘heads and tails.’ The game was run as a 50:50 contest, with the person correctly guessing each of a series of coin flips winning the pot. Successful players walked away with ‘pirate coins’ which could be used to purchase DCC merchandise or to bid on auction items.
