Carol J. (Walker) Overlie, age 76, of Glendive passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Kalispell.

Carol was born June 10, 1943 in Glendive to Joseph Judd and Lillian Walker.

She graduated high school from Dawson County High School in 1961 and received her teaching degree from Minot State University in 1965. Her passion was teaching special needs students.

Carol was always willing to lend a helping hand or encouraging word wherever she could. She was often referred to as “Crazy Gram” for her fun and loving sense of humor.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Judd Walker; and her mother, Lillian Walker.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristina Overlie (Tom Madigan); son, Darrin Overlie (Peggy Bull); daughter, Anna Frenzel (Tawn Frenzel); sisters, Ilene Robins (Robin Robins) and Judy Latka (Steve Latka); brother, Don Walker (Jackie Walker); grandchildren, Payson Kemmerling, Krista Padgett (Niclas Weinhandl), Kaidan Frenzel, Kyler Frenzel, Amanda Elkins and Rebecca Bull; and great-grandchildren, Court Elkins, Andrew Stephens, Quillan Stephens, and Krista and Nick’s baby due in May of 2020.

The memorial to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glendive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to an education or special needs organization of your choice.
