Lucylle Colbrese, age 91 of Glendive, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Glendive Medical Center in Glendive. Born to George and Avis Williams in Golva, N.D. on April 14, 1930 she was one of 13 children. Lucylle attended school in Carlyle, Mont. then moved to Glendive in 1946 where she attended DCHS. She met and married the love of her life, Carl Colbrese, Jr. in 1947. To them a daughter, Linda, was born in 1949 which soon afterward they moved to Miles City. David, Kerry, Alane, and Cynthia were born there. Lucylle worked at the Holy Rosary Hospital from 1965 to 1967. The Colbrese family then moved back to Glendive where Dad helped his sister, Francis Tomalino operate Tomalino’s Radio and TV. Kimberly was born in 1967. Mom then went to work in the OB department for 11 years loving every minute. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Carl & Lucylle owned Carl’s TV and Appliance from 1973 until 1991. They traveled extensively including 6 trips overseas. After retiring, they enjoyed being home with family. She liked playing cards and scrabble. She loved planting flowers and caring for her plants. In 2001, Mom got her first computer and even her own smart phone, although sometimes autocorrect would get the best of her. Mom enjoyed her time at the Senior Citizens Center having lunch and playing cards. She especially enjoyed Sunday home cooked spaghetti dinner, a tradition that started way back with Ta & Grandma Colbrese. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren together. After her husband (Carl) passed away, she helped her son, Kerry at KC’s Sound & Service until 2003. At 76 years of age, she started a new job working at the Glendive Chamber of Commerce as a greeter and secretarial duties. After 6 years she retired but continued volunteer work there until 2013.
