In the early hours on the morning of October 20, 2020, our beloved father and grandfather, LeRoy Moline, left us to join my grandmother. As my mom and best friend both said, she’s probably already nagging him. But he always missed her. Family came first to him, and I would not be the person I am today without him. He led me to a love of learning, travel, all things Montana, music, and of course, the Montana Grizzlies. The word grandfather cannot surmise what he truly was to me. He was my father figure and he was certainly grand at it. He always knew how to make things special for us growing up, whether it be sharing agates with newly made friends, imprinting our hands onto plaster molds in his dental office, or a special Christmas Eve treasure hunt with a year in review self-written poem. He always knew how to make anyone around him feel welcome and at ease. I will keep him in my heart always. Written by his granddaughter, Sarah Spangle.
