Cody Joseph Olson, age 18, of Glendive, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

Cody will always be remembered for his tender hearted spirit, contagious smile, always thinking of the needs and feelings of others and reaching out to those in need. Unfortunately, for one difficult moment in time, he thought of his own pain, which was more than he could bear. There is not one person who’s life he touched for good that doesn’t miss him already.

Cody was born on June 18th, 2003 to Trent and Lisa Olson in Saginaw, Mich. He had just graduated from Dawson County High School in May and had so many hopes, dreams and goals. He loved working on cars, and was planning to attend BYU-I for Automotive Technology. He enjoyed making things from forging and welding and had a passion to learn new things. He always had a project going and was so excited and truly invested until it was done.

He was the kindest, most empathetic and selfless person. He loved the Lord and was always serving those around him in any way that he could. He had the most infectious smile and outgoing personality.

Cody’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by his parents, Trent and Lisa Olson; brother, Austin (Courtney) Olson; sisters, Kourinna (Bret) McGhie and Kaitlin Olson; grandma, Gayla Olson; grandma, Connie Decher; as well as five nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.

Cody is preceded in death by grandpas, Joesph Olson and Randall Decher; Nana Gail Guymer Guinn; aunt, Diane Olson; and uncles, Heath Olson, Scot Olson and Jason Decher.
