The 4th of July parade sponsored by the Glendive Jaycees started out cold and rainy, but it was worth your while if you attended as the weather didn’t detour participation. Parade entries ranged from bands to horses, motorcycles to floats with the parade’s 80s theme. By the end the sun was out and kids’ pockets were full of candy and other goodies.

LaDonna’s School of Dance got into the 80s theme with their Girls Just Wanna Have Fun float. Albertson’s Goonies float prompted a lot of sideline reminiscing about the classic 80s movie. There may have been more motorcycles than horses in this year’s 4th of July parade as bikers carrying U.S. flags displayed their patriotism.
