Myron J. Schultz passed away on Feb. 3, 2019, at Grace Pointe in Greeley. He was born on Aug 15, 1934 in Richey, MT to Abe and Katherine Schultz. He attended and graduated high school in Glendive, MT – where he met his sweetheart Phyllis, whom he married on June 3, 1952. Myron attended Bethel College, N. Newton, KS, and graduated with an Assoc.of Arts degree in Industrial Arts. After college, Myron and Phyllis moved back to Montana to take over the family farm. During those years they had four children – Duane, Eileen, Jan and Lynn. They continued farming until 2000 when they retired, sold the farm, and moved to Greeley to be closer to their youngest daughter and her family.

Besides family, Myron’s faith was extremely important to him. Myron became a Christian at a very young age, and followed God’s teachings until the day he died. He not only talked about his faith, but he lived his faith. Myron spent many years serving on different committees, teaching Sunday School, and leading worship at the Bethlehem Mennonite Church in Bloomfield, MT. He also led Mennonite Disaster Service teams to Haiti to help clean up after Hurricane Inez in 1966, to Colorado to help clean up after the Big Thompson Flood in 1976, and to different areas in and around Montana that needed help after natural disasters. Myron and Phyllis enjoyed volunteering all their married lives, and even once they moved to Greeley, Myron found a home volunteering at the Weld County Food Bank three days a week.

Survivors include Myron’s loving wife of 66 years – Phyllis; son, Duane Schultz and wife Pam of Bloomfield, MT; daughter Eileen Toews and husband Dennis of Billings, MT; daughter Jan Bell and husband Rod of Sidney, MT; and daughter Lynn Shevela and husband Miles of Evans, CO. Also surviving are Myron’s three sisters – Marguerite Holzworth (husband Paul), Bernice Mathison (husband Don) and Noreen Balaam (husband Paul), 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Myron was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Schultz and a grandson, Brennan James Bell.
