Using leftist logic, the Mount Rushmore of oxymorons, I have lived a privileged life because I was born white. The truth is, my leg up was being born a country kid and here is why. I attended the proverbial one-room, country school of Slack and one spring, our entire school took a field trip to Custer’s Battlefield. Walking the battle site in the sagebrush hills tweaked our interest so for the next month, every recess became a re-enactment of Custer’s last stand. Every kid had their favorite scrap two-by-four or tree limb which served as an imaginary rifle, tomahawk or bow. One day you would be riding with the Seventh and the next you were a barechested Sioux, so our allegiance flipped back and forth faster than today’s city kids flip genders. Firing imaginary weaponry and simulated handto-hand combat damaged no one and all my contemporaries became well-adjusted contributors of society. Pretending is fine when you are nine, but for an adult, not so much

Senator Elizabeth Warren recently bumped porn-star, Stormy Daniels from national headlines by pretending to be an Indian. Prior to politics, Ms. Warren captured a Harvard faculty position by claiming her high cheek bones proved she was of native heritage. Harvard championed her as a professor of color. President Trump tagged the senator as Pocahontas and the ridiculous battle began. Recently, Senator Warren offered DNA analysis offering proof however, her blood contains smaller quantities of Indian DNA than would a pool of random Americans. Her test proves nothing, and this brings me to my point.

This red or white nonsense is hiding a greater evil. Our Declaration of Independence clearly states, “all men are created equal,” meaning white, black, red, brown, or yellow Americans all begin life on the same rung of the ladder. For Ms. Warren to garner employment by claiming to be of native heritage is evil. Doing such tarnishes those chosen and those rejected based on the color of their skin or the redness of their blood.

Socialist Senator Warren demonizes America’s equality of opportunity to champion equality of outcome. Regardless a citizen’s efforts or abilities, leftists use government power to keep all the little people on the bottom rung of the ladder under the guise of fairness—the dreaded “f” word. The unwashed are expected to stay where they are told and blindly vote for those who put them there. It is not racism which keeps people of color trapped in poverty, it is socialism.
