On June 30, 2021 at 9 a.m., the Dawson County Compensation Board will meet in the Dawson County Conference Room of the Dawson County Courthouse, 207 W. Bell St. Glendive, Mont. for the purpose of reviewing the compensation paid to county officers. This annual review will be conducted by the members of the compensation board, according to 7-4-2503 (4) (a) (b) (c) (d), Montana Code Annotated.

On July 1, 2021 at 7 p.m., there will be a River Road Irrigation Pipeline Board meeting at the Dawson County Courthouse Conference Room. Foe more information, call Bill LaBree at (406) 377-4161.

The regularly scheduled public meetings of the Dawson County Commissioners are held at 10 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month and at 5:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month.

Anyone wishing to meet with the commissioners can either call or make an appointment to be put on the agenda. Normally, at least one member of the board will be present in the office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.

The commissioners agenda is posted on the website at and posted on the door of the commissioner’s office at the courthouse by Friday noon before the Tuesday sessions.

The single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine can be scheduled by calling the Health Department at (406) 377-5213. Those wanting the two dose Moderna vaccine will need to schedule an appointment with Albertson’s Pharmacy (Osco Drug) by calling (406) 365-5209. As the data and guidelines continue to evolve we have tried to do our best at making scientific, common sense approach that has been best for the residents of Dawson County. As we move back into a more normal operating environment, here are the current guidelines for Dawson County government operations. Should any adjustments in these guidelines be needed, we will be communicating those as soon as possible.

• All County boards and meetings can once again be held in person, all board meetings still need to be posted and open to the public as normal.

• All community and conference rooms normally available to the public are open to reservations.

• Masks are not required in the Courthouse as a whole but please follow individual department’s posted guidelines should they be required.

• All County offices not listed below will be open to the public is normal but the public is highly encouraged to conduct business over the phone, mail and/or electronically if possible.

1) The Glendive Public Library is open and programming will be continuing to be added.

2) The Senior Citizens Center has resumed on-site congregate lunch time meals and will continue to offer pickup meals. Meals On Wheels will operate as normal. Programing has started and is being phased into a normal operation.

3) The Correctional Facility has started a phased reopening to guests and the visiting public.

4) The Dawson County Health Department is encouraging that appointments be made for visits. Please call the Health Department at (406) 377-5213 prior to arrival or to make reservations for an appointment.

5) The Treasurer’s office is open while being closed for lunch from 12:30-1:30 p.m., with no vehicle registrations after 4 p.m.

6) The Dawson County Urban Transportation and Dawson Community Airport have returned to normal operations but riders are required to wear masks or face covering due to Federal mandates while on the bus and commercial airplane.
