DCC Volleyball home opener is Tuesday

The Lady Bucs volleyball team will compete this weekend in Bismarck and will host their first match of the season on Tuesday.

The DCC Lady Bucs Volleyball season sets off this weekend with a tournament in Bismarck, North Dakota. They will be playing Lake Region and Bismarck State on both Friday and Saturday.

Their home opener is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. vs. Dickinson State University JV. The college will be hosting a free Community Fair and BBQ before the game with games and activities for the entire family beginning at 4 and p.m. food will be served starting at 5 p.m.

The Lady Bucs return 4 key players from last year and another from the previous year. All-Conference and All-Region middle hitter Shayna Baugh will lead the attack. Outside hitter, Harlee Speth, will also be a key contributor as well as middle blocker Tawney Stanton and setter Nynah Bryant. The Lady Bucs setter from the 2017 season is also returning. After her freshman season, Samantha Egan went on a mission and is now back to continue her career at Dawson. Eight other newcomers have been in camp and working hard since August 1st.

Coach Dina Fritz is starting her 3rd season in charge of the Lady Bucs and is excited to build on a strong foundation.
