Edwin Leslie Solle, age 88, of Terry passed on to his Lord and Savior on July 14, 2020 at the Prairie County Nursing Home.

Ed was born on January 10, 1932 in Terry at the Angus Tourists Cabins. Weighing in at 4 lbs. and 11oz., he could fit in a shoebox; unbeknown the remarkable things he would do for himself and his family. He was the son of Al and Laura (Clark) Solle. As the oldest of five siblings: Arthur H., Marjorie L., Darlene and Earl Albert. He was known for his “big brother” attitude and became an uncle to their children that most would envy. They grew up on the family ranch which was known as the old Burt place. It is still with the family today as the Solle Ranch which is coming up on its 100th year anniversary; with many more years to come. Ed went to school and graduated from Terry High School in 1950. As many ranchers did, he evolved from sheep ranching into cattle ranching. On March 7, 1971 he married Karen Ulrich. To this marriage they had two children, Alroy and Lisa. As a family they continued to raise cattle and be stewards of the land. Ed had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good visit. He loved hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. Most of all he loved his family. He was a member of the Terry Lodge #74 of Freemasons for over 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; and his parents, Al and Laura.

Ed is survived by his children, Alroy (Tasha) Solle of Terry and Lisa (Buck) Brown of Miles City; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Justin, Sierra and Devin; and great-grandson, Grayson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry. Should friends desire, memorials in Ed’s honor may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
