I am truly grateful for the library

Dear Editor:

Vote yes for the Library mill levy!

This isn’t just about money; it’s an educational resource for our community.

In 2017 I became a member of the Friends of the Library. At the time I only wanted to become a member and give them a donation. It didn’t take me long to realize what a blessing they are to the community.

Since then I have attended numerous Lunch N Learn meetings. The things that I have learned through this are so immense. Some of my favorite sessions were how to grow flowers, how to arrange flowers in vases, and how to decorate. Each session I came away with more knowledge.

I have attended lots of book club meetings. Granted some of the books that I read were not my type of books. I would have never picked them up. One I picked up threw it down and repicked it up I came away thinking that I’m glad I read it all. Another made me keep on laughing; another made me think of someone else’s life and how fortunate I truly am.

There are times when I have gone in the library seeking the peace and solitude the library has to offer. Those are the times I have checked out an audio book to take home to a darkened home and ate popcorn.

When I was with Toastmasters here in Glendive it was a great resource filled with awesome inspiring speeches. It helped me to go onto regionals.

The library staff has always been extremely helpful if I have questions or I am looking for certain material. They have been and they are reliable resources.

For all of this I am truly grateful for our library and I for one will continue to support them!

Sincerely,

Nancy Korb
