Jennifer Jo Ridgeway Metcalf, age 56, passed away at the Billings Clinic on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.

Jenny was born on July 6, 1963 in San Diego, Calif. to Nancy Dexter and Thomas Ridgeway, joining an older brother and sister. She moved to Glendive in 1974 with her mother and siblings, and that is where her two sons were born, Phillip Thompson and Tanner Thompson. After spending some time living in New Mexico she moved back to Glendive in 2005 where she met Kevin Metcalf. They were married in 2007. They moved to Malta in 2008, where she had resided since.

Jennifer enjoyed going to yard sales and cooking, which she was very good at. She was a camp cook for an elk guide every fall in New Mexico and was very happy to do so. Her favorite time of year was in the fall when she could cook for all the hunters. She also had a fondness for Doberman Pinchers and enjoyed being a breeder. Jennifer had to Min Pins, Mocha and Ebony, that were her babies and she loved spoiling them. Jennifer was a loving mother and a wonderful wife, with a strong will and a warm heart.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Ridgeway; and her grandfather, Richard Bordwell.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Metcalf of Malta; her son, Phillip (Bonnie Lake) Thompson of Bloomfield, N.M. and their children Johnathan, Elizabeth and Joseph; her son, Tanner (Kaylie Charton) Thompson of Malta; her mother, Nancy Dexter of Glendive; her brother, John Wesley Ridgeway of Billings; her sister, Kathleen (Scott) Thomas of Glendive; her grandmother, Elenor Bordwell of San Diego; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
