Linda was born on March 24, 1960 in Rapid City, S.D. to Donald and Agnes (Gaupseth) McKinstry. She was raised and educated in Bison, S.D., graduating from Bison High School with the class of 1978. After high school she moved to Rapid City where she worked as a waitress at Perkins Restaurant for a while until she moved to Hettinger, N.D. and worked at West River Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aide. Linda was united in marriage to Jeff Privratsky on June 27, 1980 in Hettinger and to this union three children were born. Following their marriage they moved to Glendive where Linda continued her career in healthcare. She worked at Glendive Medical Center as a nurse’s aide and later transitioned to the Physical Therapy department, where she was a PT Aide for more than 30 years until Alzheimer’s disease forced her to retire.

Linda enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a huge fan of sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the Utah Jazz, she knew more players and stats then most men. Linda had a soft spot for sweets and enjoyed baking so there was always something sweet in the kitchen. Linda loved her family more than anything, her grandchildren were very special to her and she would light up whenever she would see them, even through her illness.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by the love of her life, Jeff Privratsky of Glendive; three children, Ryan (Casey) Privratsky of Richland, Wash., Andrea (Kris) Kumlien of Bozeman and Michael Privratsky of Glendive; six grandchildren, Peyton, Myles and Avia Privratsky and Bailey, Kinzie and Karder Kumlien; three brothers, Ed (Pat) McKinstry of Mobil, Ala., Don Jr. (Dawn) McKinstry of Bison and Ken (Pam) McKinstry of Rapid City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
