Nedra M. Stott, age 104 of Glendive passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care. A family memorial will be held later this summer at the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Nedra was born on February 9, 1918 to Arthur and Lillian (Hoag) Madsen in Vernon Center, Minn. She moved with her family from Minnesota to Glendive where she attended Dawson County High School.

Nedra married George Sanderson on November 20, 1938. They were blessed with four children. George passed away in 1979.

Nedra got re-acquainted with a former classmate, Loren Stott. They married in Pennsylvania while visiting Loren’s daughter Myrna. She and Loren spent nearly 20 years as “snowbirds” in Arizona until Loren passed away in 2001. She then moved to Grandview for several years.

Nedra was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved to entertain, play bingo, bridge and whist. Nedra was known for making homemade pies and donuts, also rosettes every year for the lutefisk suppers.

Nedra was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Neale and Arden Sanderson; her brother, Arthur L. Madsen; her husbands, George Sanderson and Loren Stott.

She is survived by her children, Darlene (Ervin) Mitchell of Glendive and Don Sanderson of Brier, Wash.; daughter-in-law Bonnie Sanderson of Malta; step-daughter, Myrna Rokke of Malvern, Pa.; grandchildren, Brett and Craig Rokke of Pa., Brad and Deanna Mitchell of Glendive, Leann and Steve Polesky of Dickinson, Chase Sanderson of Malta, Erin Tummel of Helena and Kathryn Sanderson of Billings; eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Zion Lutheran Church of Glendive, the Dawson County Senior Center or the charity of your choice.
