Notes from The Gallery

Sunday, June 28, 2020

The Gallery looks forward to July and will be putting forth more effort to safely return to normal activities.

June 29, 2020, the monthly membership meeting is scheduled at The Gallery at 7:15 p.m. for all members and interested guests. All members are encouraged to attend as we will be discussing and deciding upon upcoming events as they are related to COVID restrictions and guidelines.

The Gallery is excited to announce our July featured artist is Dale Beckman. Born in Eastern Montana, Dale is an image-maker working primarily in abstract-realism painting, who spent years exploring the badlands of Montana’s Makoshika State Park as well as the badlands of New Mexico. Many of his paintings were inspired by the peculiar shapes and colors of that natural terrain.

Dale said, “I am fascinated by the creation of patterns and I enjoy the process of their creation.” Dale’s “abstract realism” is the infusion of the elements of design with the depiction of real-life in visual art. Dale currently resides and creates in Helena, Mont.

The Gallery will host our “After Five Rewind” for July’s featured artist, Dale Beckman, at The Gallery, on July 2, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to view and purchase Dale’s creations and visit with him about his work. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

COVID safety restrictions and guidelines will be in e!ect.

July will see The Gallery expand its hours to be open to the public by being open Tuesday thru Friday from 12-4 p.m.

If you haven’t visited The Gallery lately, we have new art and creations from both new and longtime artists on display and for sale. If you are looking to volunteer to an important and worthwhile endeavor, check out the Gallery by coming to a meeting or stopping in and visiting with current members. We would love to have you in our group.

DCAU/The Gallery is a non-profit organization dedicated to the arts in all its forms, and is volunteer run and driven. Thank you to all our volunteers.
