Olivia Jimison, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home in Glendive.

Visitation was held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Rosary services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Silha Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive with Father Francis Schreiber officiating. Rite of Committal will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Olivia was born on August 17, 1936 in Wibaux, a daughter of Dominick and Katherine (Schaan) Job. She was raised and educated in Wibaux. Several years after her schooling she met and later married Mathew Barth. Olivia and Mathew were married on February 2, 1956 and to this union one daughter was born, Jerilyn. This union subsequently ended in divorce and later Olivia met Ray Jimison. Olivia and Ray were married on November 22, 1976 in Belle Fourche, S.D. Following Ray’s retirement, he and Olivia became “snowbirds” and spent many winters in Yuma, Ariz. While in Yuma they would spend time with Ray’s cousins and several new friends they met along the way.

Olivia enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and also the HGTV station. She was known for her excellent baking and also for her love of shopping - especially shopping for purses. She loved purses and always carried a roll of quarters with her.

Above all else though were family and God. Olivia was exceptionally proud of her family. She also carried with her a strong faith in the Lord and prayed her Rosary several times a day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick and Katherine; her husband, Ray; brothers, Frank, Leonard, Louie, Ralph, Dominick and Thomas Job; sisters, Eva Parker, Marie Kamemer, Rosie Walsh, Caroline Schuhrke and Katherine Zinda; one step-son, Allen Jimison; one step-son-in-law, Clyde Gorder; and one step-daughter-in-law, LaDonna Jimison.

Olivia is survived by her daughter, Jerilyn (Randy) Miller of Rock Springs, Wyo.; grandchildren, Scott Miller, Mark (Jennifer) Miller and Jason Miller; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Mallorie, Hadlee and Dalton; step-children, Jerry Jimison of Glendive, Ralph (Micki) Jimison of Helena, Linda (Randy) Baldwin of Glendive, Karen (Wilbur) Wallace of Glendive, and Paula Gorder of Glendive; step-daughter-in-law, Pam Jimison of Bismarck; step-grandchildren, DeVonna (Daren) Snow, Cole (Jenny) Jimison, Tiffany (Rhett) Coon, Michaela (Wade) Murphy, Candi (Harley) Kirkegard, Brandi (Bart) Austby, Travis (Marya) Jimison, Leah Jacobsen, Dane Jacobsen, Paul (Emily) Wallace, Annie (Derek) Smith, Jason Jimison, Kellie (Willie) Schlepp, Kyle Jimison, Tyler (Erica) Gorder, and Amy Gorder; two sisters, Annie Pearson of St. Cloud, Minn. and Agnes Miesaloski of Beach, N.D.; and numerous step-greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
