Orville Siegle, age 81, of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home in Glendive. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church in Glendive with Pastor Brenda Frelsi officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Orville was born on December 5, 1938 on the family farm west of Glendive, a son of Christ and Bertha (Mittelstaedt) Siegle. He was raised and educated in Glendive, graduating from Dawson County High School with the class of 1956. Following his high school education Orville went to work for the city for a short time before being drafted into the United States Army. During that time, he was stationed in Korea and two years when he received his honorable discharge. Orville then returned to Glendive where he went back to work for the city and later worked for the State of Montana Department of Transportation as a road foreman until his retirement.

Orville was united in marriage to Donna Taylor on April 3, 1966 and to this union two children were born, Stacy and Shawn.

Orville enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking drives around town. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids and going to all of their sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christ and Bertha; and one sister, Veldean Cook.

Orville is survived by his wife, Donna of Glendive; two children, Stacy (Scott) Wilkey of Missoula, Montana and Shawn (Heidi) Siegle of Glendive; four grandchildren, Nathan and Grant Wilkey, Autumn (Tristan) Marriot, and Issabelle Siegle; one brother, Dale Siegle of Livingston, Montana; two sisters, Shirley Boyce and Lorretta McPherson both of Glendive; and numerous nieces and nephews.
