Bob was born on May 12, 1948 in Great Falls. He was proud of being a 1966 graduate of Dawson County High School. He attended Dawson Community College. He worked at the Glendive hospital before moving to Billings. He later returned to Glendive where he met Linda Connelly in 1970 and they married in 1971. Bob and Linda moved to Billings where Bob started Bob Baker Paint & Drywall. They later moved back to the Glendive area where he continued working until 2019. Bob worked all over Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North and South Dakota and Minnesota. He was super proud of his work. His garages and tool trailers were perfectly arranged with everything in the right places.

He loved having coffee with friends and had an incredible memory with unlimited stories.

Bob loved attending his grandkids’ events and talking to people about his kids. Whenever he introduced his kids, he made sure to use all of their names which is the only reason why their names are listed in full below. He often mentioned that he had never made a mistake in his life. He thought he was wrong once, but that was only a mistake.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Hester Konig; and his sisters, Joyce Barstad and Gayle Lapp.

Bob is survived by numerous nephews and nieces and his siblings, Juanita Dellos, Betty (Leonard) Roehl and Leon Baker. He is survived by Linda Baker; and his children, Marnie Cowlthorpe, Gretchen Lynn Adele Baker Anders, Michael David Robert Alexander (Wendy), Bryan Charles Timothy Allen (Kim), John Paul James Leon (Kari), Benjamin Leonard Ronald Thomas (Nichole), Leah Dawn Simone Theodosia Norby, and Cora Joanne Katherine Cecile Olson (Josh) and 20 grandkids.
